This relaxing workshop blends in-gallery art viewing, artmaking and the Japanese tradition of shinrin yoku (forest bathing).
Each session will begin with a focused art viewing and in-gallery intention circle, followed by a silent, meditative walk through the McMichael’s grounds. Back in the studio participants will reflect on their experience by creating a piece of art inspired by the natural environment. The program will conclude with an art-sharing circle.
Please dress appropriately to remain outdoors for an extended time. Bring comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen and insect repellent in the summer, and boots, toques and gloves in the winter.
Art materials, water/tea, and a light snack included.
Register, includes gallery admission.
