Composting 101
July 7 @ 2:00 pm
FreeCompost is more than recycling garden waste or kitchen scraps – it’s a way of creating a healthy environment for all organisms. Participants will learn good composting practices to help drive sustainability and production for their garden. During this in-person program you will learn all about choosing a compost bin, the materials required to compost, how to maintain a compost bin and how you can take advantage of your efforts.
Since food is a daily part of our lives, food waste is a valuable issue and should be a priority for everyone. Food waste reduction is a climate change solution that literally everyone can get behind! Join us to learn what you can do to ensure only food scraps end up in your compost bin.
Bring a lawn chair because this program will be held outside (weather permitting).
