Create a Remembrance Butterfly with Bethell Hospice

October 21 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Nov 15 is National Grief & Bereavement Day and Nov 17 is National Children’s Grief Awareness Day. The days are a time to honour and remember the people we have loved and lost. It also serves to remind us that those mourning the death of a loved one need to be acknowledged, and met with care and support.

Bethell Hospice will mark these days with an art installation. During the week of Nov 14-18, a kaleidoscope of personalized butterflies will descend upon the community for all to view. Butterflies represent hope and symbolize transformation, and are used around the world to raise awareness about grief and bereavement – Butterflies signify hope that grief pain won’t always hurt so badly and that a transformational healing journey is possible.

Drop by and create your own remembrance butterfly to be included in this special installation. All are welcome.

Children are encouraged to participate. All children with an adult.
