Open your beating hearts to the first-ever Flow Fest Brampton International Drumming Festival! This exciting evening features headliners The Larnell Lewis Band and The Joy Lapps Project. Grammy Award-winning, Brampton-born musician, composer and educator Larnell Lewis leads a musical fusion of Afro-Caribbean and jazz ensemble sure to bring the audience’s hearts together as one. Dance, drum, and party with Ngoma, one of Canada’s first world music bands. Our West African drumming journey continues with JUNO Award-winning and women-led jazz ensemble Okan. With contemporary Afro-Cuban roots Okan focuses on folk and global rhythms in songs about immigration, courage and love. The night doesn’t stop here – with roaming musical ensembles, live DJ, food vendors, art exhibit and more, audiences will be fully immersed in an evening of drumming, music and culture from around the world.
