Oct 29: The World of Bats. Fiona Reid – Departmental associate in mammalogy at the Centre for Biodiversity and Conservation Biology at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto. Author of Peterson Field Guide to Mammals, coauthor of Bats of the World, and many other books. Fiona returns, this time for a presentation on another of her favourite flying fauna!
Nov 26: Wildlife Science – Local birds, Ecology and Conservation Efforts. Brad Fedy – University of Waterloo associate professor and prominent wildlife scientist. Researching factors that influence the fitness of animal populations, such as the greater sage grouse, tree swallow, golden eagle and sandhill crane.
