A celebration of classical and semiclassical music from the Indian subcontinent.
Moksha means enlightenment, a liberated state that music of the subcontinent helps us achieve. In the traditional renderings of khayal, hear the echoes of the Mughal courts. The music of India and Pakistan is a time capsule, and a celebration of the collective histories of South Asia. It’s also one of the most intimate forms of live music, inviting audience feedback and participation — an art form that deserves to be experienced together. The evening will feature musicians Ut. Shahbaz Hussain, Ut. Irshad Khan and Ut. Sukhwinder Singh Pinky.
