Monday Night at the Movies – Filipe Leite – The Long Rider – Rated PG

March 20 @ 4:30 pm

When Filipe Leite leaves his adoptive home of Canada, the aspiring journalist sets out on an epic quest to ride from Calgary to his family’s home in Brazil – and later beyond – entirely on horseback. During his eight-year journey, he travelled over 25,000 kms, crossed 12 international borders and all the while encountering intense heat, huge transport trucks, drought, corrupt border guards and many other challenges.

We are thrilled to announce Sean Cisterna, producer and director of the film, will be joining us.

Filipe Leite, who stars as the long rider, has written three books about his adventures. If possible, we will have some for sale on film night. Since the details are still to be confirmed, we suggest you have cash on hand if you wish to make any purchases.

Viewings are at 4:30 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9:10 p.m.

$10 cash, at BookLore or Galaxy Cinemas on film night.
