Join PAMA and Hindu Heritage Foundation Canada for an afternoon celebrating the history of the Hindu community in Canada, from the Komagata Maru to present day. We will explore the legal and social challenges the community faced in its early stages, the emergence as an integral part of the community and contributions in WWI and WWII. The talk will feature community members whose family members have contributed to or fought in the World Wars, as well as played an important role in the community.
Drop in 1–2pm for refreshments and an artifact display. The talk will start at 2pm.
Included in general admission, register.
