The Elephant in the Room: We All Die
May 11 @ 7:00 pm
Denial of death continues to plague society. But why? Believing death is disturbing and dangerous is common. For some people thinking and talking about death can elicit feelings of anxiety, fear, awkwardness or sadness, and because of this we tend to pretend, as a culture, that it’s not going to happen. The reality is we are all going to die. Confronting the idea of death can help us live a more meaningful and authentic life.
Join Bethell Hospice for an interactive conversation about death and dying, and help break the taboo. We will examine common views about death. We will explore what shapes our perception of death. We will review and debunk some myths about death. And we will work toward naming the elephant in the room!
Free, virtual event.
