An inclusive look at Canada’s most beloved sport: Hockey.
Ice hockey is an icon of Canadian culture, yet the game has traditionally been represented by white players. We Are Hockey is centred around the experiences of people of colour to provide them visibility and legitimacy, and highlights the historic and persistent racial inequalities in how the game has been presented. Challenging our traditional ideas about the game, We Are Hockey provides an opportunity to celebrate some of Canada’s unsung hockey heroes.
