West Credit River Heritage Walk

October 16, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Belfountain’s first murder? Group of 7 views? First Nations’ artifacts? Spot the trout in the river?

The Belfountain Heritage Society invites you to experience the West Credit River like never before through a series of vignettes created along the river’s edge depicting the geology, the area’s earliest human inhabitants and the brook trout ecosystem.

Stroll the site of Belfountain’s first gristmill and first murder! Learn about the brook trout nursery, the river system and watch fly fishing demonstrations.

Do you know which Group of Seven members painted in Belfountain more than 100 years ago? Discover the landscapes that inspired these iconic Canadian artists to capture the pristine natural beauty of this area.
Proceeds go towards the protection of the West Credit River.

$20; children 12 & under free with an adult; book a time slot online.
