September 16 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, repeating until November 8, 2020
See the world through the eyes of our youth! We’ll be featuring the wonderful works of young artists from our community in The Lounge. Their art will focus on topics like nature, family and friends, and their dreams for the future. The MoD is happy to partner with our friends at Streams Community Hub and the Sunflower School for this display.
Streams Community Hub:
Streams Community Hub is an arts-centred, youth-focused, community-minded charity based in Shelburne. Their mission is to provide an engaging environment to educate, inspire, and encourage youth development, community involvement and leadership. It focuses on providing arts education and experiences for youth in rural and underserved communities. Currently Streams Community Hub accomplishes this through creative arts camps during March Break and summer. Since the first camp in 2017, they have served over 200 children from Dufferin County. Their programs are multidisciplinary and include visual, culinary and performing arts, photography and cinematography, circus arts and computer coding.
The Sunflower School:
The Sunflower School is committed to the provision of quality education and care of children 18 months to 10 years of age. The Sunflower School believes children learn best when they are given the opportunity to explore and interact with an environment in a constructive way at their own pace. Consequently their programs are designed to provide the maximum opportunity to experience a variety of materials, ideas and social situations at a level appropriate to the individual child.
