SUMMARY:Mulmur 175 End-to-End Challenge - All Ages
DESCRIPTION:This 41.1 km journey follows the Dufferin Hi-Land section of the Bruce Trail\, guiding hikers from Primrose to Lavender through some of Mulmur’s most scenic and storied landscapes. From rolling hills and hardwood forests to quiet country roads and escarpment views\, the route reflects the deep connection between people and place that defines Mulmur. \nThis challenge can be completed in sections or end-to-end. It’s your journey to experience at your own pace\, whether you’re hiking solo\, with friends or as a family. \nAll checkpoints must be completed on foot and on the assigned route. \nUse the provided map to guide your journey. The trail is divided into 13 official checkpoints. At each checkpoint you’ll find a letter or number marker. Collect all markers and unscramble the final secret message. \nOnce completed\, submit the secret message and a few quick details (including the dates of your hike) to info@mulmur.ca to receive your Mulmur 175 commemorative badge. \nThis challenge is offered in partnership with the Dufferin Hi-Land Bruce Trail Club\, whose volunteers care for the trail year-round and help connect the community to this special landscape.

SUMMARY:Wonder in the Woods
DESCRIPTION:A journey through the woods is truly a personal wonderland of adventure. It is a time to explore\, enjoy the solitude and to get closer to nature. \nLucy and Lawrence Kristan are talented wood turners who design and create beautiful art pieces. Organic vessels from the local woods to delicate birds nesting. \nPainter Marnie Cooke presents art on canvas that conveys an abstract interpretation of nature. Her background in dance follows through with her use of colour and movement in her paintings. \nAspiring wildlife photographer\, William Mitchell\, a recent graduate of the Niagara College Photography program\, will display some of his beautiful photos. \nThis ultra-creative Headwaters Arts member’s trio will present an exciting multimedia exhibition at the Headwaters Arts Gallery at the Alton Mill Arts Centre.  The show runs from July 1st to August 3rd. \nThe Artist’s Reception is on July 5\, from 1 to 4 pm in the Headwaters Arts Gallery. Come and meet the artists.

SUMMARY:Alton Mill Dam Banners at PAMA
DESCRIPTION:Alton Mill Dam (2025) is a large-scale outdoor installation of a direct-positive pinhole photograph by artist Risa Horowitz. Made with a handmade camera at Alton Mill Arts Centre\, the image centres on the concrete dam where Shaw’s Creek was engineered to drive what became the longest-running water-powered mill on the Upper Credit River system. The work prompts reflection on how industry\, settlement and river ecology intersect within Ontario’s Greenbelt. \nIn partnership with CONTACT Photography and Alton Mill\, this exhibition will be presented on PAMA’s outdoor banners. \nCurated by Michelle Gewurtz

SUMMARY:Tokens of Love
DESCRIPTION:Tokens of Love is an art show that reclaims the flower as a serious and personal subject. Historically dismissed as feminine and decorative\, floral painting was one of the few genres women were “allowed” to pursue. In this series each bloom is based on real flowers gifted to the artist by loved ones\, portraits of connection\, memory and care. By painting them with intention and emotional weight\, the artist challenges the notion flowers are trivial.
