SUMMARY:Mulmur 175 End-to-End Challenge - All Ages
DESCRIPTION:This 41.1 km journey follows the Dufferin Hi-Land section of the Bruce Trail\, guiding hikers from Primrose to Lavender through some of Mulmur’s most scenic and storied landscapes. From rolling hills and hardwood forests to quiet country roads and escarpment views\, the route reflects the deep connection between people and place that defines Mulmur. \nThis challenge can be completed in sections or end-to-end. It’s your journey to experience at your own pace\, whether you’re hiking solo\, with friends or as a family. \nAll checkpoints must be completed on foot and on the assigned route. \nUse the provided map to guide your journey. The trail is divided into 13 official checkpoints. At each checkpoint you’ll find a letter or number marker. Collect all markers and unscramble the final secret message. \nOnce completed\, submit the secret message and a few quick details (including the dates of your hike) to info@mulmur.ca to receive your Mulmur 175 commemorative badge. \nThis challenge is offered in partnership with the Dufferin Hi-Land Bruce Trail Club\, whose volunteers care for the trail year-round and help connect the community to this special landscape.

SUMMARY:Alton Mill Dam Banners at PAMA
DESCRIPTION:Alton Mill Dam (2025) is a large-scale outdoor installation of a direct-positive pinhole photograph by artist Risa Horowitz. Made with a handmade camera at Alton Mill Arts Centre\, the image centres on the concrete dam where Shaw’s Creek was engineered to drive what became the longest-running water-powered mill on the Upper Credit River system. The work prompts reflection on how industry\, settlement and river ecology intersect within Ontario’s Greenbelt. \nIn partnership with CONTACT Photography and Alton Mill\, this exhibition will be presented on PAMA’s outdoor banners. \nCurated by Michelle Gewurtz

SUMMARY:Light and Shadow
DESCRIPTION:Following a warmly received debut exhibition\, Iwona Chychlowska returns to the Alton Mill Arts Centre with a new collection of oil paintings that celebrate the beauty found in everyday moments. Working in the rich tradition of oil painting\, Iwona combines confident brushwork with a sensitive eye for light\, colour and atmosphere\, creating works that invite viewers to pause and look a little longer. \nInspired by the quiet poetry of the world around her\, Iwona’s paintings balance realism with emotion\, capturing not only a place or subject\, but the feeling it leaves behind. Her thoughtful compositions and expressive use of colour create a sense of warmth and familiarity that resonates long after the first glance. \n

SUMMARY:Walk into the Wild
DESCRIPTION:Wildlife photographer\, William Mitchell\, captures the quiet moments many of us never have the chance to witness. Through remarkable patience\, careful observation and a deep respect for the natural world\, his photographs reveal the beauty\, intimacy and untamed spirit of Canadian wildlife. \nWilliam’s work has already earned national recognition. His striking photograph of a rare silver fox was selected from nearly 10\,000 submissions for Canadian Geographic’s 2025 Canadian Wildlife Photography of the Year collector’s edition—one of only 98 images chosen for publication. Praised by the magazine’s editors for its compelling storytelling and emotional impact\, the image marked an important milestone in his rapidly growing career. \nThis solo exhibition brings together a collection of William’s finest wildlife images\, inviting viewers to slow down\, look closely\, and reconnect with the extraordinary creatures that share our landscapes. Each photograph is a reminder that nature’s most powerful stories often unfold in moments of stillness—if we’re patient enough to see them.

SUMMARY:Tokens of Love
DESCRIPTION:Tokens of Love is an art show that reclaims the flower as a serious and personal subject. Historically dismissed as feminine and decorative\, floral painting was one of the few genres women were “allowed” to pursue. In this series each bloom is based on real flowers gifted to the artist by loved ones\, portraits of connection\, memory and care. By painting them with intention and emotional weight\, the artist challenges the notion flowers are trivial.
