SUMMARY:Mulmur 175 End-to-End Challenge - All Ages
DESCRIPTION:This 41.1 km journey follows the Dufferin Hi-Land section of the Bruce Trail\, guiding hikers from Primrose to Lavender through some of Mulmur’s most scenic and storied landscapes. From rolling hills and hardwood forests to quiet country roads and escarpment views\, the route reflects the deep connection between people and place that defines Mulmur. \nThis challenge can be completed in sections or end-to-end. It’s your journey to experience at your own pace\, whether you’re hiking solo\, with friends or as a family. \nAll checkpoints must be completed on foot and on the assigned route. \nUse the provided map to guide your journey. The trail is divided into 13 official checkpoints. At each checkpoint you’ll find a letter or number marker. Collect all markers and unscramble the final secret message. \nOnce completed\, submit the secret message and a few quick details (including the dates of your hike) to info@mulmur.ca to receive your Mulmur 175 commemorative badge. \nThis challenge is offered in partnership with the Dufferin Hi-Land Bruce Trail Club\, whose volunteers care for the trail year-round and help connect the community to this special landscape.

SUMMARY:Alton Mill Dam Banners at PAMA
DESCRIPTION:Alton Mill Dam (2025) is a large-scale outdoor installation of a direct-positive pinhole photograph by artist Risa Horowitz. Made with a handmade camera at Alton Mill Arts Centre\, the image centres on the concrete dam where Shaw’s Creek was engineered to drive what became the longest-running water-powered mill on the Upper Credit River system. The work prompts reflection on how industry\, settlement and river ecology intersect within Ontario’s Greenbelt. \nIn partnership with CONTACT Photography and Alton Mill\, this exhibition will be presented on PAMA’s outdoor banners. \nCurated by Michelle Gewurtz

SUMMARY:The Power of Grey by Karen Brown Encaustics
DESCRIPTION:The Power of Grey invites visitors to pause\, look closely and discover the beauty found between black and white. In this solo exhibition\, artist Karen Brown brings together layered encaustic paintings\, mixed-media works\, sculptural ceramics and tactile listening stones. Inspired by nature and the complexity of lived experience\, the exhibition explores grey as a place of balance\, transition and possibility\, where strength and softness\, light and dark\, and certainty and uncertainty can exist together.

SUMMARY:Love Is for Poor People/Or You Can Do Nothing
DESCRIPTION:A Charming Double Bill\nby Stewart Lemoine \nThis double bill of witty one-act plays delivers two sharply observed and delightfully offbeat stories. \nIn Love Is for Poor People\, a forthright and glamorous woman of the world presents a candid look back at the trajectory of her long and eventful life\, despite the fact she’s still quite young and has yet to live most of it. \nIn Or You Can Do Nothing\, Owen Fyfe has two significant gifts: a home of improbable size and a rare penchant for identifying unexpected potential in total strangers. In this freewheeling\, one-man narrative escapade\, he recounts how a provocative remark from his dentist spurred him to maximize the impact of these attributes while unlocking the mysteries of his own past. Warning: Positivity! \nSun Wed 2pm. Thur-Sat 7:30pm. Oct 22: 2pm. Oct 29: 11am & 7:30pm. Oct 31: 4pm.
