Birding Workshop: Breeding Season
May 23 @ 7:30 am - 9:30 am
Late spring is the transition between migration and prime breeding season, and this workshop is all about discovering which birds stick around for the season ahead. Join Ryan and Christie as they guide you through the trails, helping you spot courtship behaviors, territorial songs, habitat choices and early family life in action.
After the success of last year’s workshops, this fan-favourite duo is back to share their knowledge, stories and enthusiasm for birds. Expect a fun, informative morning that blends learning with plenty of time outdoors. All experience levels welcome!
We will walk up to 3 km of flat trails near the Pine River. Come dressed for the weather and/or bugs. Binoculars are highly recommended!
$20, includes a day pass
Your hosts: Ryan started birding about 12 years ago and Christie started birding during her ornithology course as part of her biology degree. Ryan and Christie are volunteers for Birds Canada and the Breeding Bird Atlas of Ontario.
