“Press Quality” Acrobat pdf preferred; and/or InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop. Supply ads at actual size. Identify advertiser in filename. Ensure that fonts are embedded, and images have sufficient resolution and have been converted to CMYK. CMYK and greyscale images require a minimum resolution of 300ppi at 100%; bitmap images, 800ppi. Supply images as tif or maximum quality jpg. Colour other than CMYK will be converted, in which case colour accuracy cannot be guaranteed. Email to [email protected]. A SWOP-certified proof is required as a colour-accurate guide for ad reproduction. Colour targets are also accepted but colour-matching cannot be guaranteed. In The Hills will not be responsible for an ad’s content or colour if a proof is not supplied. Without a certified proof, reproduction will be approximated on press as accurately as possible.
