After lockdown Kandace Springs, like many others, had experienced a personal loss — her father Kenneth “Scat” Springs passed away in late 2021 due to complications from a prior illness. Wanting to pay tribute to the man who had encouraged her to play piano and sing, Kandace is releasing her upcoming album Run Your Race: Songs For My Father. Kandace, along with her all-women trio, hit the road and, along the way, The Rose, to give audiences a night of music they won’t soon forget.
