What experience or background do you bring to the table?

I bring diverse leadership experience from two terms of Caledon Council, 30 years in the community and a long business career. Over the last eight years I was the Town of Caledon Ward 2 Councillor and Regional of Peel Councillor for Wards 1, 2 and 3, and held roles chairing committees for the town, region and Caledon Community Services. In that time, I contributed to decisions shaping Caledon’s future, including growth, transportation, environmental protection and regional governance. Before entering public service, I spent 30 years building successful businesses, learning the importance of sound financial management, collaboration and thoughtful decision-making.

What is an important issue affecting your community, and where do you stand on it?

Caledon is growing; growth is necessary, but building homes and developing the community does not mean losing sight of what makes Caledon special. We have one chance to do this right, and these decisions cannot be rushed or impact residents’ quality of life – now and in the future. I support planned growth that factors in building the infrastructure and community services that keep pace with development. We also must protect our groundwater, farmland and natural heritage to preserve Caledon for future generations. I believe responsible growth and environmental stewardship go hand in hand; thoughtful planning will always build stronger communities.

Why should voters elect you?

My record reflects decisions grounded in my professional experience and understanding of the community as a long-time resident. I ask difficult questions and advocate for responsible planning, protecting our environment and, most importantly, doing what is right for Caledon. I believe good leadership is collaborative. I will create an environment where council hears from residents and makes decisions in the best interests of the community. As mayor I will provide experienced, collaborative leadership focused on practical solutions, responsible financial management and preserving the qualities that make Caledon such a remarkable place to live, work and raise a family.
