After a thirty-year career in animation, Ron Pitts embarked on a second career as a wildlife photographer in 2oo4. Beginning with the woods and waters around his home near Tottenham, he has since travelled across North America, documenting a variety of birds and larger animals – most recently the whales off Newfoundland. His work is featured in a solo show at Dufferin County Museum until November 1, as well as at the Festival Art Show and Sale in Alton, and on the Hidden Treasures Bus Tour, September 27 and 28. www.ronpitts.com
