Sometimes it’s difficult to think of an interesting topic to blog about. This past summer, I had the opposite problem. I had too many ideas! I would choose a topic, write a few paragraphs and then slowly grind to a halt. Another inkling of thought would surface and I would write with renewed passion, only to have that idea fizzle like flat Coca Cola. After each burst of thought, my writing would come to a slow and painful standstill.

It is now September and the result of all of my starting and stopping and overthinking means I have several unfinished blog posts and I’m unsure which one to complete. Too many choices can be overwhelming. I am mired in confusion. I am stalled at the starting line. I am sinking in literary quicksand.
