  • 2 pounds fresh chicken wings split
  • 2 tablespoon grape seed oil
  • Salt and pepper

For Glaze

  • 1/2 cup of honey
  • 1 tbsp grape seed oil
  • 3 cloves of finely minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon of cane sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tsp hot pepper flakes
  • 2 green onions/ scallions finely chopped

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Lay wings in a shallow baking tray
  3. Drizzle with oil
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste, toss wings to coat
  5. Roast for approx 30 minutes until golden brown and cooked through
  6. While waiting for chicken to roast, prepare glaze.
  7. In a medium saucepan
  8. On medium heat add oil, honey, garlic, hot pepper flakes and soy sauce
  9. When sauce starts to simmer approx 4 min remove from heat and stir in scallions. Set aside
  10. When wings are fully cooked drizzle the with the glaze and gently toss until well coated...add all of the glaze.
  11. Pop back in the oven for additional 3 minutes (oven should still be at 350 degrees)

Instead of grape seed use your favourite neutral cooking oil. Substitute wings for thighs. Add toasted sesame seeds at the end to garnish. I try to use Canadian organic products like local garlic and scallions.
