To glaze the Toasted Almond and Chocolate Doughnuts.

Chocolate Glaze

  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups icing sugar
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, cut into cubes (at room temperature)


  1. Combine icing sugar and cocoa powder in a large bowl. Bring milk to a boil and pour over the sugar and cocoa powder, whisking until combined.
  2. While mixture is still warm, whisk in the soft butter a little at a time until smooth.
  3. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and set aside until ready to use. Makes about 2 cups.
